11 Club Matching Set Antique Hickory Wood Shaft MacGregor Duralite Irons 4 Star

Description: This listing is for an 11-club set of antique vintage hickory clubs from the 1920's. These clubs were all made MacGregor from their stainless steel Duralite model. It is a matching four star set (putter is a three star) like someone would have played with back then. There is a 10 Putter, 9 Niblick, 8 Jigger, 7 Pitcher, 6 Mashie Niblick, 5-X Spade Mashie, 5 Mashie, 4 Mashie Iron, 3 Mid Mashie, 2 Mid Iron and 1 Driving Iron. These are all the clubs MacGregor offered in a Duralite set. As you can see the set contains the 8 Jigger which is a very difficult club to find as well as the 5-X Spade Mashie and 7 Pitcher that you don't see very often. These are all in good clean condition. Apparently original shafts many of which are marked for MacGregor (some faintly). They all appear to have their original leather grips that are whipped at the bottom and in very good condition. The shafts have all been cleaned and oiled and the grips have all been waxed and whipped. Please look at the multiple zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. Great for the executive to display in their office. Not the dirty normal as found sets you see offered on eBay. Great for display and a lot of hickory players play with these. They do have good play weight, but you will have to do all the work to make them playable. You don't see the four star MacGregor Duralite irons offered very often. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 14-pound 44x6x6 box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay takes almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). Because of the high dollar value there is a handling fee.
