Description: Measures 25½ inches by 15½ inches. Dated 30 October 1639. Attractive calligraphic heading incorporating the year. Pendant wax seal. Slightly larger and thicker than average. The document is for the bargain and sale of a windmill. People named in the agreement are: • William Milford of South Croxton in the County of Leicester, Yeoman. • John Hood of Sileby in the County of Leicester, Fellmonger. Relates to the Grant, bargain and sale of “all that Windmill with the appurtenances called or known by the name of South Croxton Windmill.” CONDITION. Contents complete. Small imperfection to the lower turned up margin - otherwise no damage. Good condition with just some slight darkening to vellum. I found the old style handwriting a little difficult to read but the ink is clear and free of fading. Wax seal in good condition. Please see my other listings for similar documents
