Bound in tan half calf and marbled paper-covered boards, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering on red morocco label, gilt tooling and further lettering to compartments. All edges marbled. Binding remains sound, firm and clean with only a little rubbing to extremities. Marbled endpapers, clean and bright. Text-block remains sound and firm with pages and illustrations remarkably clean and tidy throughout, though one leaf (pp. 121-2) with discreetly repaired tear to top edge.
