Nice full-figure statuette depicting one of the first cartoon superstars. Oswald was a popular comic character developed by Ub Iwerks / Walt Disney (before Mickey) and later animated by Walter Lantz for Universal Pictures. This example is a cute Oswald likeness circa the early Walter Lantz era. A very uncommon DeLee Art Pottery figural with excellent eye appeal. Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/paint wear. Misc. ceramic glaze crazing with scattered small chips at outer base edge & under base. No other cracks or breaks. Colors are still bold, bright & attractive. Overall, we feel this is a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
