Description: 1972-2022 50 GOLD Albuquerque Int'l Balloon Fiesta 2589 of 5000 Balloon Pin Hard to Find! Ever since the 20th year, Balloon Fiesta had produced a pin in the shape of the numeral of that year. Hard-core collectors have always prized them but they really got noticed at the 45th year when AIBF produced GOLD and TURQUOISE (our state stone/color) versions. For the 50th GOLD was a must and the edition size was increased to 5,000 so more collectors could enjoy the fun. The pins placement in the edition is engraved on the back. (along with the AIBF logo!, if it's not there it's NOT an official pin.) Please see my store for more 50 year pins, including the VERY HTF Rainbow version of the 50 pin.
