Elizabeth Taylor was also there that week - the event went on for several nights - and was the Founding Chair of the event. Several local AIDS and health charities were beneficiaries each year, as was the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. That year, Tina Turner sang at the Macy’s Passport fund-raiser and fashion show in San Francisco, CA. The show was aimed to raise funds and awareness for the AIDS virus. Tina performed a set of unplugged songs including “The Best”, “What’s love” & “Proud Mary”. I also have a photo of Elizabeth Taylor from the 1997 event listed.
