What Makes Cam-Clamps Better?Sanitary closures perform a simple, but critical function, providing a method for cleaning, inspection and maintenance of sanitary fittings. Traditional tri-clamps unnecessarily complicate what should be a perfunctory activity: they take excess time, compromise process integrity, increase the likelihood of accidental spills and/or contamination, and are prone to producing worker discomfort and injury. Mike was helping some friends set up a new craft brewery, and quickly found the curious practice of repetitive wing-nut cranking, well, silly. He also developed an aching wrist. Figuring there had to be an easier and less painful way of changing and securing literally dozens of clamps, he went to work on the challenge.
