I was a young boy when he did purchase them, maybe 4 yrs old tops, I am currently 27….they literally sat in the garage for the better half of 20+ years in the original box and yes the garage is heated and insulated lol! We picked them up in N. Reno, Nevada at a swat-meet/event center get together at the old Reno livestock event center…again the better half of at least 20 years ago as in yes they are old yet still in brand new condition as if they just left the factory! I believe he wanted to put him in a van. We had a 87 Chevy Beauville 2wd van that my mom actually threw a rod and blew the motor in and to pic n pull it went. So I’m pretty positive he did at one point have plans for them…however he has passed on a few years ago and I am clearing things out and moving on…again, I know a lot about subs, amps, speakers, etc. within the industry of new age stuff however, I’m not entirely 100% familiar with these being they were released right around the turn of the 2000’s. Accordingly major authority was actually a pretty big thing back in the day, yet people seem to think that they’re very vintage and “rare” and all in all they weren’t…however it is very rare to find 2- 10” original thump pro subs in an enclosed vented angled box with built in tuned high efficiency tweeter’s like this…that’s RARE!
