Description: 2008 Windlass Studios * Marvel Comics official Captain America 1940s Steel Shield * Version 1 Limited to 200 Unknown serial number. Does not come with original paperwork or packaging. Comes in as is condition with some battle damage. In the interest of full disclosure has fallen off the wall at least once (be careful when placing on display due to the strap system being a little hard to gauge if it's seated correctly. Does not handle vibrations well. Passing trucks, stomping neighbors, children, breathing, looking at it wrong. It may fall off at any time, but due to the solid steel construction, handles it reasonably well.) As the photos show the indents on the front are from the welding and are a common problem with these shields, but there they are. The slight dent at the bottom tip is not, as well as the paint chipping, as per the photos. those were from a fall, sadly. I am pricing according to what little info I can find and will entertain all offers. The frame is not as sturdy and is showing wear at the front, from paint bleed from time and friction. can be seen on photos. on the white lettering to the left. a small amount of blue has rubbed from the back of the shield and onto the frame. The reinforced nail brackets are sturdy however, the plywood has weakened on the face over time and is starting to wear through. This can't be seen while the shield is on display.
