For floral pieces or even small candy canes I have seen these stars as candle holders, also, but they have a round hole on the right to insert a candle. These have large openings on each side. Also nice to display empty. The red paint has some paint loss I would not recomment washing these with water as it may further remove the paint. Possibly painted with the cold paint method (paint that slides off when wet) RARE HTF 4-1/4" h Most of our items are antique or vintage. We make every effort to describe them accurately and honestly.
