PUBL: Birn Bros This is a nice selection of BIRTHDAY postcards that have the classic motifs that were seen on antique postcards from the early 1900s. These postcards have designs with FLOWERS, MESSAGES with nice lettering, 3 have MUSIC NOTES, and one has an ANGEL in a heart. This postcard is a NOVELTY postcard, and the front heart looks like a Valentine's postcard. It does not open, and it has a crease that can't be seen. The postcards are nicely drawn and have a colorful and attractive look to them. Five of these postcards are EMBOSSED and five have GOLD trim. The publisher of these postcards is BIRN BROTHERS (B.B. London), who published out of London, and printed their postcards in Germany. They are a well respected firm and sought after by collectors. These are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and a glimpse of life back then. They have good detail, and they are a pleasure to look at. Overall, a nice selection of antique Birthday postcards at a very reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (5) and have cancel dates of 1911-1915. These would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally.
