Description: Black and white political posters relating to the strikes and demonstrations during revolutionary year of student - worker rebellion in France during May of 1968, now past the 50th-anniversary mark. These eight relate most to fascist-style police tactics and brutality after demonstrators were beaten by thug-like men compared with the S.S. of Hitler's Reich. One poster shows a body being carried off: "Order Reigns." Another shows a police thug with club raised. They are black-imprinted on white paper. Printing on some is crisper than on others. Some appear to have been more at the end of a print run and are somewhat washed out. They have been stored in an envelope in the eaves by my late mother-in-law, who was in Paris in 1968-69. There is only one of each poster here. She had approx. 50. The only marking on back is a date, 1968. Sold as-is. (Did you see the NY Times article all about the history of these political posters?)
