Description: Alpa Alnea Model 7 (circa 1952) EXCELLENT CONDITION This is an Alpa Alnea Model 7 made by Pignons S.A. of Switzerland in the 1950’s. Tp of the line Alpa, a 35mm SLR camera equipped with a separate rangefinder for critical focusing This piece of art was truly both an SLR and a rangefinder in the same camera. Shutter speeds seems ok on this one. It fires. Rangefinder patch is on the dim side but works. The camera is not fully tested so you must take in consideration a CLAd (Clean, Lube and Adjust) could probably be needed. Finish is very nice. It’s chrome but with a greenish special effect on it. No haze, fungus, or scratches on glass. Curtains are ok with visual inspection. It was the 4th and most advanced model of the second generation of Alpa cameras. Featuring both a 45 degree angled reflex viewfinder and a coupled coincident image rangefinder with selectable 50, 90, and 135mm masks. Alpa cameras are highly sought after by collectors due to their unique design and extremely complex built quality. Like a Swiss watch, Alpas are often considered to be luxury, precision built instruments that were a step above everyone else.
