Description: ANRI Juan Ferrandiz 'Melody Maker' Carved Figure. This hand-crafted, hand-painted wood carving was designed by the artist Juan Ferrandiz, a painter and poet. He received his artistic education in Barcelona, Spain, and later became an art professor and devoted himself to the design of figures based on children's themes. His collaboration with ANRI allowed the ANRI's master carvers to bring his designs to life. Juan Ferrándiz passed away in August 1997, at the age of 79.This 6" sculpture was carved from a single block of wood. Every cut was worked by hand and every detail carefully hand-brushed with special transparent, oil-based colors so that the beauty of the wood grain remains visible. "Ferrandiz" facsimile signature (his personal stamp of approval) incised on the back of the base. This limited edition is marked with the ANRI logo burned into the underside of the base, and the number is 1896 out of 2250.NOTE: We have several ANRI figures listed for sale and will be happy to combine shipping.
