The minutes date from June 28, 1928 to September 17, 1931.The front of the book contains a hand-written index of subjects discussed at the meeting with page number references.The Orconera Iron Ore Company, operated iron mines and a mining railway in Spain. It was incorporated in 1873. The shares of the company and general operations were sold off in the 1940s and 1950s.At the time of this minute book (1928-1931), the chairman of the company was Sir John F. Beale, who wet signed each entry into the book. Sir John Field Beale (1874-1935) was the director of numerous companies and the chairman of ten, including, Orconera, Midland Railway, and Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds Iron and Steel Company, among others.The book contains inserts of special reports from visits to the mines in Spain (mimeographed!), accounting reports, and other notices.The one-of-a-kind book is in excellent condition. The leather cover is intact and in very good condition. The binding is tight. The book is 100% complete.A sticker for the bookseller is still present on the inside front cover. The bookseller (printer and bookbinder) was Adams Brothers and Shardlow Limited. with locations in London and Leicester, England. They operated from the 1920s to the 1940s.
