Description: Antique Anglo-Indian Silver Nautilus Shell Libation Cup. Late 19th Century Early 20th Century This example seems to be missing a stand and possibly a fitted lid . The only other example I found online had a fixed stand and a hinged lid . But this one couldn't have had a hinged lid because there is no evidence of a hinge at all . All in all it is a nice example from the late 1800s from the Tibet region during the time when the British were Utilizing Tibet as a Buffer Zone. To be as accurate as I can be , this item would have been made around 1888 to around 1904. Not many of these around .
