In 1871. Illustrated. Hardback. Condition is good. A few scuffs and marks on the cover and spine. Corners are worn. There is damage to the upper spine. There is sporadic foxing, but generally, pages are clean and undamaged. Quite a lot of pages have notations, but from what I can see, they are in pencil so they can be removed if necessary. There are a few page-number gaps, and not every monthly journal has a title page. I'm unsure whether this was the original binding or pages have been removed. However, the book is very well bound, there does not seem to be any visible gaps, and the pages missing always seem to be the first and last pages of that particular month, so I would suggest that this is just how the book was originally bound.
