The glory of this piece is in the magnificent articulation of the "bucket of fish" lid which depicts various types of fish and a lobster exquisitely done in high relief. A crab and a frog adorn the side of the inkwell although one element is missing. In very good condition. This piece measures 1.73 inches at the base; 1.9 inches at the upper edge; stands 2.2 inches high. A stunning display of artistry that well exceeds the mere function of this creation.
