Description: Seth Thomas Pillar & Scroll Cock with Eli Terry Wood Movement. When these clocks started, it was Seth Thomas making the clock cases, andEli Terry making the wood movements in the 1820's. This clock looks to be mid to late 1820's.Antique wood movement clocks, are getting harder to find. When finding one running, it isn't easy, but nice surprise. What is very hard and rare to find, running and with most all it's parts. The upper and lower door glasses are 1820's, extremely wavy original, with no breaks or cracks. (Rare)Lower Door has original hand painted Glass, with a little flaking.Clock Has two flaws, one scroll tip repaired. Also missing a trim piece on the topR. H. side, which looks to have been lost long ago. Try to find original tin dust covers. This clock has them. The Pendulum BOB, should be smaller that the one it came with too me.It runs Ok, but try to find one smaller I have had a few or more of this model over the past decade or so, with only one beingbetter.Because, It had it's original Seth Thomas style brass finials. I tried to find some S. T. finial replacements, but could find only one so far. As you can see. The finials here are the Terry style replacements I picked up. Were not cheap, but looks good on this clock. Will ship UPS. 2 boxes...... Clock in one box.Weights, Bob, key in another box. Note; Shipping costs with everything else, have gone up some.
