Description: Antique Vintage Original Oil Painting -Rooftop Architecture Cityscape -Signed There is a path half- shadowed under trees which leads into a village of nestled houses.Interspersed are mature trees which rise up with the rooftops and tapering gothic towers of the church. I love the detail throughout- in the forest with the individual lines of the trees and in the town with the natural world in harmony. The sky has light cloud and it is a fine day.The perspective is strange, almost as if floating above yet not as if upon a hill. Another interesting thing about this painting is the hardware on the back of the frame which is thicker than usual duty with some pieces being stamped '1948' Signed in the lower left corner as shown As Found: There is a large rip on the left side of the frame which has not been attended to. A few other areas of wear including minor stretcher marks as pictured. Dust build up from age has not been addressed.
