Description: This antique wall clock is a true gem for collectors. With a solid wood case and brass glass, it exudes a classic elegance that is hard to come by. The clock is in excellent working order and has been carefully crafted to ensure its accuracy. It came out of my family's Connecticut farmhouse in Willimantic and has been stored since. One of the winders is still present and the clock ticks and runs after winding. The clock is a Seth Thomas brand and has a round shape with a diameter of about 8 inches. The frame material is glass and brass metal and the case is made of turned wood, darker at the top. The clock was likely manufactured between 1850 and 1899, making it a rarer find for antique clock enthusiasts. It is interesting to note that the Seth Thomas name was written (hand painted?) in tiny print only on the face, possibly indicating the company was not yet an established name. Its decorative style is perfect for adding a touch of Early American sophistication to any room.
