Description: This is a gorgeous, hand carved, Tahitian Mother of Pearl Jesus bezel set in carved Mahogany, The features of Christ in prayer change with the movement of the pendant as it captures light. I studied for years the light refraction qualities of both black-lipped and gold-lipped Tahitian Pinctada Margaritifera Mother of Pearl, and its astonishing appearance when applied to carvings, particularly detailed carvings of the face. The carvings I have of Jesus are absolutely astonishing and just stunning. I’ve decided to share some of my collection so that you too may experience the wonder of these magnificent, finely crafted pieces. The Mother of Pearl in this piece is from the Tahitian Gold-Lipped Oyster and was fashioned as a pendant, but may also be used effectively for meditation and contemplation, which was my use for years.
