Pokémon XY Evolutions 20th Anniversary (2016) Charizard, signed by the artist, Mitsuhiro Arita, including a rare sketch. The cards with added sketches are rarer than those without, since these were primarily drawn at signing events prior to 2017. Going forward from 2017, Mr. Arita no longer draws sketches on cards, and when he does signings (very seldom if at all since 2019), he signs with a personalized header to the individual. ~About this card's grade~PSA can grade either the autograph, the card condition, or both, for a single card depending on the preference of the submitter. Autograph: In this case, the signature was graded and given an "Authentic" grade by PSA/DNA. But why not a numeric 1-10 grade?: A submitter may request that if PSA grades the auto less than a specific numeric grade (for instance PSA 8 or 9), that the label only reflect that it is an "authentic" autograph. This is usually the preference when submitting cards for autograph grading, since autograph aesthetics can be highly subject to the viewer, and the greatest importance is the authenticity.Card Condition: Although this card's condition was not graded by PSA, it is in MINT condition (see below for this criteria). Grading Scale:All loose cards are carefully hand graded according to the criteria below. Gem Mint (GEM) – The card has zero imperfections. Zero scratches on the front or the back. Zero tears, bends, stains, etc. Blue border on back has zero traces of white edge wear. Card is perfect. (This is a grade that I don't use often just because buyers will find something wrong if they look hard enough. I wouldn't say this grade unless you are absolutely positive that your card is perfect.)Mint (M) – The card has minimal minor imperfections in the form of: The front or back of the card has one minor scratch; the blue border has only one trace of white edge wear showing. Zero tears, bends, stains, etc. Almost a perfect card.Near Mint Plus (+) (NM+) – The card has a few minor imperfections in the form of: The front or back of the card has a few minor scratches; the blue border has a few traces of white edge wear showing. The holo or foil part of the card might have a few very tiny scratches, not many. Nothing major. (The front of this card may be clean however the back might have two spots of very minor edge wear).Near Mint Minus (~) (NM~) – The same as Near Mint Plus except this grade allows for a few more minor scratches and traces of edge wear. A near mint minus might have multiple tiny scratches on the foil but only visible under a light, nothing major. Only one minor hairline crease/bend allowed. Might be borderline in some cases to excellent.Excellent (EX) – The card has multiple minor imperfections in the form of: The front or back may have multiple scratches, the blue border may have multiple traces of white edge wear. Might have one minor crease/bend, small stain, etc. Card might be played but no major damage to the card. Card still shows great quality and could almost be near mint in some cases.Played (PL) – The card has multiple minor and major imperfections in the form of: The front or back may have multiple scratches, the blue border may have multiple traces of white edge wear.
