He was starring in the Original Broadway production of the JEFFREY DELL play "PAYMENT DEFERRED" at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City. (The production premiered on May 4th, 1931 at London's St. James Theatre where it ran for 80 performances. The Broadway production opened September 30th, 1931 and ran for 70 performances.) .....
