Description: This handsome 4.5” dial set Ship’s Bell Clock and Ship's Bell Barometer were originally sold in the early 1980s. This distinctive, handcrafted Ship's Bell Clock signals the passing of time with gentle, rich-sounding chimes – eight bells at 4, 8 and 12 o'clock to mark the end of a mariner's watch. (Bells can be switched off/on). Behind its classic, hand-silvered dial is 365 precision steel and brass parts and an 11-jewel American made movement. The classic Ship’s Bell Barometer, designed as a companion piece to the Ship’s Bell Clock, features a double bellows holosteric movement that mechanically measures changes in atmospheric pressure to foretell changing weather. Readings are handsomely displayed in inches and millibars on the piece’s rich, hand-silvered dial. The Ship’s Bell Barometer features a lacquered solid forged brass case and screw bezel. Barometer movements are automatically calibrated for altitudes up to 2,000 feet, and can be factory-adjusted for altitudes up to 5,000 feet above sea level upon request when placing orders. This beautiful set ensures accuracy in time and enduring quality for years .Each case has been thoroughly cleaned and polished. They look nearly brand new!
