Description: Timeless Stitches TSA-502 "CHEMISETTES AND COLLARS" pattern. This is a new, unused pattern in the original factory fold. From the pattern: "This pattern is for a button-front "dickey" called a chemisette. These garments were used to help fill in the neckline of dresses with a square of lower neckline, allowing the wearer to extend the purposes of her garments. A great consideration is the fact that the chemisette can be easily changed, freshening up an outfit. It is much easier to launder the chemisette or collar than the whole garment. Chemisettes can also be worn under a bodice or jacket to give the impression of a body underneath, for this reason most chemisettes had matching sleeve jockeys trimmed int he same style.... This pattern includes 6 collar styles that can be used on the chemisettes, many of which can be also made as separate collars to be tacked directly to the bodices. These collars are: 1. Round style. 2. High stand-up collar. 3. Standard fold-over collar with pointed tips. 4. Fancy tab front collar. 5. Triangular collars that show in the front only. 6. Ruffle or lace edge. Some embroidery designs and the instructions from Godey's for a knitted chemisette are also include in this pattern."
