Description: The Claridge casino closed in December of 2002. Today it is still operated as a very nice hotel. When it was under construction in 1929, it was coined "The Skyscraper by the Sea". Del Webb purchased the property in 1981 and opened it doors for the first time as a casino. Due to it's poor casino revenue, the casino closed in 2002 and became an annex to Bally's Atlantic City.
