The color is effected by the temperature of its surroundings ~ cold weather, sunlight, cold or warm water, or holding a hot or cold drink. When cold, this polish is a sparkly holographic black but changes to various shades of purple as it gets warm. If you have long nails, the base will be purple and the tips can be more toward deep purple/black. This polish also has fine holographic glitter for lots of sparkle. Nail swatches are shown using 2 coats of polish with a clear topcoat. For best application, shake polish before use. A good quality clear top coat such as Seche Vite is recommended for a smoothe and glossy finish.
