Description: Crawford Notch, White Mountains, N.H. stereoview with Crawford House in distance. 1870s - 1880s, S. F. (Stephen F.) Adams, photographer, Circuit Avenue, Oak Bluffs (on Martha's Vineyard, Ma.). Adams number 130. The road depicted through the notch must have been quite an adventure to ride on, although most guests traveled by train. Crawford House was one of the New England grand hotels in the late 1800s. The stereoview is approx. 7" x 3 1/2" with a slight bow, probably from storage and age. Please see photos for condition. Shipped USPS first class letter to keep shipping low - no tracking. sv42
