Description: This is a lovely Bing & Grondahl figure of a Swan. It is fantastically sculpted and very well painted. The detail in the feathers is better than any other Big & Grondahl or Royal Copenhagen Swan I have seen. The figure is a Factory First. It is in good condition but does have a tiny chip to the tip of the tail feathers. There is some ash from the firing process in the glaze. The figure is model number 1817. It measures approximately 12cm tall, 16cm long and 9cm wide. This particular figure dates to the period 1915 - 48. This is an extremely rare figure. I have never seen another and it is not pictured in the Pope catalogue. The photos form part of the description so please study them carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
