Description: A fine example of a Federal Sheraton four drawer chest with carved backsplash, turret corners, birdseye maple veneer drawer fronts with mahogany borders, cockbeading, carved corner columns and reeded back corners, and a nicely shaped skirt with checkered inlay, supported on tall turned legs. Probably NH origin, dating to circa 1820, in very good condition, with some minor finish imperfections, replaced drawer knobs, some missing hardware, and wear commensurate with age and use.
