A lawyer by training who grew up in a wealthy family in eastern Cuba, Fidel Castro served as prime minister or president of Cuba until 2008. The photo on this poster was taken in 2005 by ROBERTO CHILE (born 1954), a prominent Cuban photographer and documentarian. This glossy poster, which measures approximately 20 by 13.5 inches (51 by 34 cm), was released by Cuba's cultural ministry as part of a portfolio that reproduced some of the most famous photos of the Cuban revolution.
