Description: Antique mantel clock as is. Purchased in 2008 and ran beautifully; was fully refurbished by a reputable dealer at that time. Was in need of repair 7 years ago; entrusted to a so called professional and was, sadly, ruined. It would run but then stop and stick at 40 minutes past the hour. Now only the second hand runs briefly and stops. Westminster chimes no longer working; 2 of the bars that the hammers strike do not stay in place. Beautiful piece but is a complicated and time consuming repair. Probably best for parts only. I do not accept requests to cancel sales so please do not ask.
