Description: A group of eight rare surviving ca-1912 color lithograph poster stamps with gummed backs, each approx. 2 7/8" x 2 1/4" published by early auto accessory firm Barthel and Daly of New York, advertising their line of Schafer Ball Bearings. These images capture an Abbott-Detroit automobile during a series of 1911-1912 endurance runs. I've only seen German examples of these online, advertising a different company, and I suspect different manufacturers of components in use on the car used these images for publicity and ephemeral advertising pieces like these. FREE USPS shipment to The USA, safely packed and promptly dispatched same business day as payment. Thanks for looking and please don't hesitate with questions.
