Description: Hoffritz NY Chef Knife with massive 12" Blade! New Old Stock germany XXL Chef knife from Hoffritz Germany with oversized 12" blade, 18" overall length. The high gloss finish on the blade makes it hard to get photos without some shadow or reflection showing up, even with using a light box. This is New, Old Stock. Very light fit and finish imperfection where the handle meets the blade; the wood is not fully smoother out. I tried to capture it in a close up, but it is extremely small and hard to see (I used a magnifying glass actually. Yeah, I'm picky! lol) The triple riveted handle is tight and solid and has a comfortable feel in your hand. Nicely balanced.Not sure when this dates to, but I'm guessing 1960's to the 1980's from the design and blade markings. Check out the handwritten $12.95 price tag! That alone tells you its been a few decades since this was made! Please review all of the photos as they are part of the description.
