Description: Hoover Convertible Elite Vacuum - Model U4059 - Works Excellent!!!. This Hoover was purchased by my Father as a Christmas gift for his Mother in the 1970’s from Zayres. I’ve recently gone through and cleaned the vacuum, greased the bearings, compounded & lightly wet sanded the hood. Vacuum works excellent in current state. Only 2 issues are a small nick in the cord. It went through the outer layer of rubber but didn’t cut into the actual electrical wire inside the cord. It is the original cord still. Second issue is the bag zipper is letting go. Looks to be separating at the bottom. Zipper is by far the worst issue with the vacuum, but it is 100% original minus the belt being replaced/new. Turns on/off, lights up, height adjustment works perfectly. It’s certainly an excellent looking vacuum. Vacuum handle will be removed for shipping purposes.
