Description: Superb, Large Japanese Meiji Period Lobster Bronze, Circa 1900. The detail and metalwork is amazing, take a look. Mark on bottom is from Nogawa Studios, active from around 1890 to 1910; we understand it is often confused with Hatori. Artist signature on the side (pic 8) appears to be Yoshisaku though we are not sure. In any case it is one magnificent piece -- stands a good 12" tall and 9" at widest; weighs over 6 lbs. Lovely color and patina. Great vintage condition with just normal wear. A super fine example. Serious offers only, please. Thanks for looking and please see our Other Items.
