IAN FLEMING - OCTOPUSSY (AND THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS) VERY RARE UK PAN 1ST PB 1967

Description: IAN FLEMING - OCTOPUSSY (and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS - also includes "THE PROPERTY OF A LADY" - which was not included in the Jonathan Cape hardcover edition), published by UK publisher Pan X668, copyright 1966, First Printing ("First Published in this form 1967 by Pan Books Ltd." with no references to subsequent printings on the copyright page and no references to 1968 - only the 1st printing was published in 1967, the 2nd and later printings weren't published until 1968), true UK edition (not the Canadian edition which has a 60c Canadian price on the cover and lists a different printing place on copyright page). DUE TO UNSOLD STOCK OF THE HARDCOVER EDITION AT THE TIME, THE 1ST U.K. PAN PB EDITION WAS PRINTED IN VERY VERY SMALL QUANTITIES, AND THUS THE BOOK IS QUITE DIFFICULT TO FIND (ITS MUCH RARER THAN THE UK PAN 1ST OF BOTH CASINO ROYALE AND MOONRAKER). Book has no hard vertical spine crease (faint stress mark only), no spine lean, virtually no wear to spine tips, no wear to left/right on spine, no cover creases, no edge wear, tight flat white pages with no creased page corners from prior reading (couple of related pages have creasing from poor handling/storage), pages starting to age yellow at page edges, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight age darkening to outer page edges (no dust soiling), no former owner's markings or used book store stamps inside, no dust soiling/age yellowing to back rear cover which is still white & no color transfer, ever so slight spine sun fading. Overall a FINE- book of an Ian Fleming 1st printing pb book. NOTE - MEDIA MAIL ROUTINELY TAKES 3-4 WEEKS (REGARDLESS OF WHAT EBAY MAY SAY - THEY DON'T CONTROL THE POST OFFICE). Also, since I print shipping labels from home (as opposed to purchasing shipping at the post office), the delivery confirmation number IS NOT SCANNED BY THE POST OFFICE AT THIS END. Therefore, in most cases, the first time that the Post Office will show anything when you check the delivery confirmation number is when the package hits your local post office/sorting center (basically the day before its delivered to you). Occasionally (about 25% of the time) a package will get scanned at the Federal Way, WA transfer station, but in the vast majority of the cases the delivery confirmation won't show anything until basically the day before you get the package.
