The vase is all worked in silver wire coils on a miniscule basis on a black ground and then decorated with stylized 16 petal Chrysanthemums in mauve and yellow tendrils, again all worked beautifully in silver wire. I have tried to capture the beauty of this vase. The stand is typically Japanese in an organic form. The metal work of the base and top has been done in gold and silver.
