Description: Offered is the book "Journal of a Georgia Woman 1870-1872", written by Eliza Frances Andrews and edited, with an introduction, by S. Kittrell Rushing. This book by the Washington, Georgia native, (1840-1931), was published in Knoxville by the University of Tennessee Press in 2002. It is a stated first edition and has been signed by the editor, dated June, 2002. There are many black and white illustrations and photos. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" and contains 142 pages, including the index. It is very good condition. The black hard cover has no wear, the silver words on the spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean except for the name of a previous owner written in the front. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. I see no writing in the book other than that already mentioned. The dust jacket has no tears and almost no wear but is slightly soiled in a couple of areas. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
