Description: This is the L’Ideal French fruit jar, 2 liter , dark green. This jar has a smooth top with a wire closure. I have not opened this jar in over a decade and have decided not to try but to save the rubber gasket. This jar is found in the Red Book of Fruit Jars page 185, item 1488-2. The name on this particular L’Ideal jar is at the base, encircled and 2L on the bottom.
