Description: Here is a 5 pc. Lionel #2120WS De Luxe Passenger Set, as shown in the 1947 catalog. This "set" includes the 5 train cars only, and does not include the transformer, track, accessories, paperwork, or set box. Included are: 675 - DieCast 2-6-2 Locomotive with a black painted body and silver heat stamped numbers. It is an early variation, with Baldwin Disc drivers, an unpainted aluminum smoke stack, and a red and gold keystone on the boiler front that is numbered 5690. It has a three-position E-unit, working headlight, and the smoke unit has been replaced with a modern mechanism. It runs smoothly, and the E-unit performs as it should, the headlight shines bright, and it smokes very well. The body is excellent and has not been touched-up, but note what appears to be a small piece of the cowcatcher had broken off and was glued back on. 2466WX - Lionel Lines whistle tender, with rear deck handrails, and a loud whistle. 2442 x 2 - Brown painted sheet metal Pullmans, with gray painted windows and doors. Working illumination. There are some scratches, but overall they are very nice. 2443 - The Observation car. Its illumination works also. This is a very attractive original consist that has no rust, and hasn't been repainted or messed with. It is ready to sit on your layout and run, just as it did in 1947.
