Description: This is a rare type of Warrior's Golok from one of the islands of the Malay Archipelago (Sulawesi or Flores). It is late 19th century. The wooden scabbard is not in the best of condition....it is almost split; it could use a bit of simple restoration work. The Machete itself is in good condition. Just the usual ages old wear and tear ( nothing major; it's in pretty good condition overall). The b*ne handle/pommel is very beautiful. It possibly represents the flower bud of some exotic Malay Archipelago plant that's endemic to one of the many beautiful islands (?) ***This is rare type of Golok; it's a must have for anyone who is a serious collector of rare Tribal weapons...(of rare and old Indonesian/Malaysian edged weapons, in particular). Measurements: Machete is about 2.5 inches long; width of bne hilt/pommel is almost 2 inches. ***** Cost of shipping this item could be more than $100 (if you live outside of North America); make sure you inquire before you purchase it!!!!!
