I personally believe the entire adventure Pee-Wee experiences is all in his head. It's that of a dream or perhaps the daydream of a young child whose parents...aren't really ever around. Left to his own devices, with a plethora of toys, gadgets, and a very high tech shiny red bicycle conjures up wild ideas and scenarios that are all make believe. It's a pretty depressing way to view the film but it makes it a deeper film and only highlights how sweet and heartwarming it can be.This film had so many iconic moments and nostalgic moments. I really wanted to do my best to tastefully include as many of those as possible as a cooky, fun, over-the-top roadmap that takes you on that adventure as well.
