Description: Up for sale is an original theatrical poster for a play based on the popular 19th century novel "Lena Rivers" by Mary J. Holmes. The poster was printed by the Ackerman Quigley Litho Co. in Kansas City circa 1900 and measures approximately 20 1/2" by 27 1/2." As to condition, the photos say it all--there are several tears that were stabilized by the linen backing, as well as some paper loss along the top edge. However, the handful of other examples of this particular poster that I have seen online all show far worse damage. The cheapest of them go for $300, making this an affordable opportunity to own a piece of 19th century American theatrical history.
