Ray Muse (1896–1965) was an American magician and mentor who significantly influenced the magic community in the mid-20th century. Performing under the stage name "Amuso," he was based in the Los Angeles area and was known for his semi-professional magic acts. Muse served as the National President of the Society of American Magicians and was a frequent contributor to Genii magazine, where he managed the magazine's index from 1944 to 1963. He mentored several notable magicians, including Marvyn Roy, also known as "Mr. Electric," who credited Muse as one of his mentors. Muse's contributions to the magic community were recognized when he was awarded the title of "Magician of the Year" by the Society of American Magicians in 1957.
