Description: Original Movie Poster: Riverbend (1989) App. 26" x 39" When it's gone .... it's gone. Act FAST. This poster is from my private collection of rare, hard-to-find posters, which have been sitting in storage for the last couple of decades. Many of them are exceedingly hard to find. This may be the only chance to get some of these posters. This poster was obtained directly from a movie theater or video store at the time of the movie's release The pictures attached are the actual poster (not stock photos). This poster is shown in my poster frame, which is lighted. This listing is for the poster only, not my frame :) The poster is in great shape for its age but does show normal wear with some creases from being in storage and also actually being hung at a movie theater/video store. From Wikipedia:Three rebellious African-American army officers disobey orders in Vietnam and refuse to destroy a village inhabited with innocent people. They are sent to Georgia and are going to be court-martialed. The officers know that justice will not be served and manage to escape. The fugitives end up in the small town of Riverbend, taking refuge in the home of a sympathetic widow. The town is controlled by a brutal, racist sheriff who kills those opposing him and takes whatever he wants from the terrified residents. This bothers one of the officers who, with plans to take down the sheriff, convinces the others to help him create a secret training camp in the woods. They then begin recruiting the local African-Americans men and training them for combat.
