Description: 1936 Coppel GmbH S/173 Bayonet set not matching. This k98 combat bayonet set has its original blue blue finish which appears to rate overall 98%, the pummel upper area at the reverse has two Waffenamt Stamps, WaA 253, as well as the mortise, tang. Mortise and lock work. The grips are light wood and are retained by blue screws and spanner hardware, close to being clocked. The scabbard is straight with 98+% bluing. The number on the blade ricasso being "544". The blade itself is 98+/-% blue with the top spine marked 36, the reverse is maker mark "S/173". The frog is brown leather, having four aluminum rivets. The reverse of the frog is stamped 1939.
