Description: You can almost feel the industry and workmanship. A fabulous, characterful little jeweller's anvil from the late 19th century! Unearthed from a jeweller's shop in Belfast, this super cute miniature anvil measures just 4.5" high, but looks like a tiny facsimile of a classic larger anvil. Made to manufacture and repair small items of jewellery, it still works extremely well as a surface to work small metal items - but would be equally suited to be a fascinating and authentic centrepiece, background or even a jewellery stand. It has wonderful heft and is complete with its original carved wooden base. It does show some signs of the use it's had over its century and a half of life - but this only serves to add to the character and authenticity overall - it's in surprisingly good condition for its age, and shows no loss or damage. Dating to around 1870, it weighs in at 1236 grams, and its base measures 5.5" square. All my items are guaranteed 100% as described or your money back, so buy with confidence! What's more, I offer layaway deals so there's no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers - just ask! For security all items are stored in a bank's safe deposit box and sent fully insured for peace of mind. If you like this one, click here to see my other items.
