An early Vietnam era (1962-66) Camillus Jet Pilot’s Survival knife, with original sheath and sharpening stone. This one pre-dates the inscription to the pommel nut and has the “Camillus NY” stamping on the blade ricasso. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long, point to end of pommel. Fullered clip point blade with saw back measures approximately 4 3/4 inches long, measured tip to start of cross guard. Fuller just under 2 ½ inches long. Steel cross guard, one side with two holes drilled. Steel spacer at each end of grips. Grips are stacked leather. Hexagonal pommel nut with what looks like a peened tang end. Blade with some staining and signs of usage wear. Signs of sharpening to edge. Cross guard with very slight lateral movement – no attempt made to tighten. Grips good. Stone with usage wear. Sheath supple, but with clear signs of age. Securing strap missing. Good, honest early example. Please see the detailed photos which form part of the description.
